Background

Keith Dozier has practiced law in a variety of settings, having worked as an associate at the Portland law firm of Griffin McCandlish and later as a partner in the Portland firm Piucci & Dozier.  He opened his current office in 2006 because he wanted to provide specialized legal services to a relatively small number of clients.

Depending on the issues presented by each case, Keith works with reputable medical and technical experts to support each client's needs.  Each case is afforded the resources needed to be fully prepared for trial if a settlement does not occur.  The most important component of this mix, however, is the individual client.  Each case is carefully evaluated to ensure that the client is trustworthy and that their legal claims have merit.

Professional

Keith is admitted to practice in all Oregon state and federal civil courts, having tried cases to verdict in both systems.  He has litigated against defendants of all sizes including multi-national corporations and has been involved in numerous multi-million dollar recoveries.  In 2008 Keith and his co-counsel achieved a unanimous jury verdict of $19 million.  Regardless, Keith is committed to helping those with cases of all sizes, large or small.  What matters most is the honesty of the client and their need for help.

Keith is a member of the Oregon State Bar, has served on its Civil Practice & Procedure Committee and has authored two of the OSB’s recent legislative update publications regarding torts and products liability law.  He has served on the Board of Governors of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and has given time and resources to various membership committees and public interest causes. Keith is also a member of the Multnomah Bar Association and volunteers his time to their youth outreach programs designed to keep kids in school and teach them an appreciation for reading.

Since 2008 Keith has been chosen by his peers as one of the best lawyers in the State of Oregon.  In twice being named a "Rising Star" by the national journal Law & Politics Keith was deemed to be among the top 2.5% of Oregon lawyers under the age of forty.

You will not see Keith advertising on television, through the mail, or having a large ad in the yellow pages.  Instead, his clients typically come to him by referral from other lawyers and people he has helped in the past.  Keith never solicits clients.  However, he does offer a free consultation to anyone interested in his services.

Personal

Keith lives in the Portland metro area with his wife and son.  He much prefers jeans over suits and gets outdoors as much as possible to run, cycle, hunt and fly fish.  Keith grew up in a military family and spent much of his youth in South Carolina and in England where his father was stationed while in the U.S. Air Force.  He feels fortunate to have a job that allows him to help others while giving him time to spend with his family and friends.

Keith and his family are committed to supporting causes intended to better our community and which serve the underprivileged both here and abroad.  Regardless of why you have come to this website, please take a moment to explore the links in the "Make A Difference" page.  These are charitable and public interest organizations that need your support.  Please consider making a contribution to these organizations.
