A Different Approach to Civil Litigation |
|
Our law firm is focused on maintaining a high ethical standard while continuing to earn the respect of lawyers, judges and members of the public. This is the most effective way that we can serve our clients while protecting the civil justice system from abuse. We carefully evaluate each potential client’s case to ensure that it has merit before we agree to get involved. We only represent honest individuals who sincerely need the help of our legal system. We maintain a streamlined, efficient practice and prefer to represent no more than fifteen to twenty clients at any time so that we can avoid the impersonal feel often associated with larger law firms. We are committed to giving each client the time and care that their particular case needs and deserves. We contract with reputable and experienced investigators, engineers and medical professionals to ensure that each case will be properly evaluated and prepared to go to trial if necessary. You will not see us advertising on television, through the mail, or having an obnoxious ad in the yellow pages. Instead, our clients come to us on referral from other lawyers and from people we have helped in the past. We do not solicit clients, but do offer a free consultation to anyone that is interested in our services. Keith is admitted to practice in all Oregon state and federal civil courts, having tried cases to verdict in both systems. He has litigated against defendants of all sizes including multi-national corporations and the U.S. government. Keith is committed to taking cases of all sizes so long as he believes in the honesty of each individual client. He has achieved verdicts at trial ranging from $30,000.00 to $19 million. In 2008, Keith was chosen by his peers as one of the best young lawyers in the State of Oregon. In being named as a “Rising Star” by the national publication Super Lawyers® Keith was deemed to be among the top 2.5% of Oregon lawyers under the age of forty. In the area of general plaintiffs’ litigation he was one of only three lawyers to earn this honor. Keith is a member of the Oregon State Bar, has served on its Practice & Procedure Committee and has authored the OSB’s two most recent legislative update publications regarding the practice areas of tort and products liability law. He sits on the Board of Governors of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, giving resources and time to various membership committees and public policy causes. Keith is also a member of the Multnomah Bar Association and volunteers his time to their youth outreach programs designed to keep kids in school and teach them an appreciation for reading. Prior to opening his current office Keith worked as an associate attorney at Griffin McCandlish and later became a partner at Piucci & Dozier. He received his law degree from Lewis & Clark College and his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Clemson University. He lives in southeast Portland with his wife, son, and their Labrador retriever. He prefers blue jeans over suits and gets outdoors as much as possible. |
